Below are websites I've created, both as tributes to TV and video game characters (also known as character shrines) and as showcases for art and writing.
Characters --
Charlotte York Goldenblatt is the resident "nice girl" among Carrie Bradshaw's friends, assumed to be an unrealistic dreamer. Yet Charlotte is someone who gets what she wants. Currently a one-page tribute, this will be expanded soon.
Who wants to live forever? Duncan MacLeod is comfortable with the prospect, having put in 400 years already. A warrior, a wonderer, a lover... Hold Fast explores the Highlander and his world, and offers images, music, and action figure adventures.
Spock Lives is the ultimate site for Spock fans. Amie and I bring you 50 000 words, 1300 images, and galaxies full of fun. Spock is a pop icon because he's a character - divided, alienated, yet courageous and loyal - towards whom we can all relate.
When an insane general destroys all aspects of his old life, Cyan Garamonde must embrace new friends and new technology in order to find justice and peace. In addition to articles, this shrine offers MIDIs, sprites, and more old-school video game delights.
Art and writing --
Todd, Daphne and I are avid readers, and when our reviewing powers combine, we are Book Heads! Covering a range of authors and genres, this LiveJournal community can be followed or browsed. I contribute two reviews each month.
A gallery of original work, including web and print design, sketches and cartoon-style pieces. New work is added regularly; a section for comics is planned as well.
