Duncan MacLeod
Born on the winter solstice of 1592 in the Glenfinnan, Scotland, Duncan was adopted by the chieftain of the Clan MacLeod, and raised to be its leader. Fatally wounded in a battle with the Clan Campbell, he did not die. Instead, he found he was Immortal, and Connor MacLeod taught him about this strange gift. When ready, Duncan left the Highlands to travel, learn and explore.
In the 1990s, Mac lives in both an American West Coast city, where he runs an antique shop and later a martial arts gym, and in Paris, France, on a barge across from Notre Dame.
Duncan, known as Mac to his friends, has seen humanity's darkest hours and worst aspects over his lifetime, but has learned to see life as a gift, and devote himself to fighting injustice.
